Glass bottles always struck me as beautiful and seductive; not just because of the reflective surface, but due to the way they distort the images and display the different colors in their reflections. I decided when I started this piece that I wouldn’t restrict the lines or shapes I made; rather I went about improvising the whole drawing. In order to emphasize the portrayal of the reflective surfaces, I decided that minimalism was the perfect solution. Using yellow and splash of red for the roses was simplistic but successful, especially since it really gives off a playful and elegant feel of my painting, qualities that I always try to infuse into my works.
